A Multifaceted Talent

Samrat Mukherji embarked on his career journey in 1993 as a product model. He quickly rose to fame by winning the title of "Mr. Kolkata" in 1996. After graduating as a fashion choreographer, he went on to choreograph over 250 fashion shows across India.

1996 proved to be a pivotal year for Samrat. Nominated as a Mr. India finalist, he relocated to Mumbai to assist Mr. Hemant Trivedi in grooming the Miss India 2000 finalists.

A versatile artist, Samrat wears many hats: scriptwriter, filmmaker, entrepreneur, Bharatnatyam exponent, actor, vocalist, anchor, fashion choreographer, and mentor. Recognizing the immense untapped talent in Eastern India, he established SMPAI in 1994, nurturing young talents and transforming it into India's largest performing arts institute.

Samrat's film career began in 2001 with Anjan Chowdhury's "Chandramalika." He has collaborated with renowned Bengali actors such as Soumitra Chatterjee, Victor Banerjee, Ranjit Mullick, Mithun Chakraborty, Tapas Pal, Rama Prasad Banik, Debashree Roy, and Rituparna Sengupta.

However, it was television that truly brought Samrat widespread recognition. In 2007, his roles in Ravi Ojha's "Mohona," "Bou Katha Kao," and "Sokhi," as well as Snehasish Chakraborty's "Tapur Tupur" and "Bindi," catapulted him to television icon status. He has since appeared in popular daily soaps like Chirosathi, Hero, Khoma, Aaj Ari Kal Bhaab, Ke Apone Ke Por, Kiranmala, Phoolmoni, Joy Baba Loknath, Irabotir Chupkotha, Pandab Goyenda, Mou Er Bari, Gangaram, and currently plays a lead role in Akash Kusum on Sun Bangla.

Moyna Mukherji, Vice Principal of SMPAI, began her remarkable career at the young age of 16. Today, she celebrates an impressive 28 years in the film industry.

Her journey took flight with the mythological television show "Mahaprabhu," where she captivated audiences as "Bishnupriya." Over the past 28 years, Moyna has consistently delivered stellar performances across various platforms.

From Doordarshan to Star Jalsha, Zee Bangla, and Bengali commercial films, her versatility knows no bounds. Some of her notable television series include "Ramakrishna," "Rajmahal," and "Poush Faguner Pala" (Doordarshan), "Ek No. Mess Bari" and "Chirokumar Sobha" (ETV Bangla), "Maa," "Bojhena Se Bojhena," "Ordhangini," "Mem Bou," "Premer Kahini," "Chuni Panna," and "Bhagyalakkhi" (Star Jalsha), and "Khona," "Bedini Molur Kथा (Kotha)," "Trinayani," "Dhulakona," "Balijhor," "Jol Thole Thole Bhalobasha," and "Roshnai" (Zee Bangla).

Beyond television, Moyna achieved widespread recognition as the "Nua Nua" girl from her superhit musical single. She has also graced the silver screen in films like "Swami R Ghar," "Manush Kano Beiman," "Raja Rani Raji," and "Bolo Dugga Maiki."

Moyna's dedication to her craft has been acknowledged with prestigious awards like the Kishore Kumar Award, the Tele Academy Award, the Star Parivaar Award, and the Telly Samman Award.

With such a monumental body of work, Moyna Mukherji stands as one of Eastern India's finest mentors, inspiring countless aspiring artists.
