Samrat Mukherji started his career as an event manager way back in 1998.So when
SMPAi launched its event’s division ,it came as no surprise to the people who
knew Samrat Mukherji & his background. This events wing was specially designed
for the institute to promote fresh talents who were in desperate need of a platform.
Eighteen years down the line after the events section got launched,now SMPAi's
calendar boasts of a strong & colorful  line up of events throughout the year.

• The month of January SMPAi celebrates the goddess of knowledge, “SARASWATI
  PUJA CARNIVAL” where each & every student takes part in recitation,dance ,skits, &
  followed by a musical evening with a renowned DJ of eastern India.
• For the month of February SMPAi celebrates ROMANCE.Valentine games,lucky
  draw,dance performances,a foot tapping band,a rocking DJ followed by sumptuous
  dinner is what we offer to the students.
• The month of March is the most colorful one and in association with the Lake
  club,SMPAi  presents “BASANTA ROCKS” every year. Students from SMPAi
  Siliguri,SMPAi Durgapur & SMPAi Kolkata takes part in this grand event.
• RABINDRAJAYANTI is one event bengalis all over the world celebrate and so do we
  at SMPAi.This gala event is the annual extravaganza on stage.Students from all over the
  state participate in Rabindranritya,recitation on Tagore's poems,Fashion show themed on
  Rabindranath Tagore's poetry,dramas & films & last but not the least his popular dance
  dramas.
• On the month of June SMPAi releases their SHORT FILMS on the big screen & it is
  premiered in the presence of hundreds of students & their parents with full attendance of
  press & media.Students get a huge platform to showcase their talents on the big screen
  followed by an awards night!
• Calcutta Medical College in association with SMPAi conducts a beauty contest named
  MISS KOLKATA RHAPSODY,where students from different colleges all over Bengal
  take part to prove themselves.its a great platform for wanna be models.
• In the month of September SMPAi NATYAGOSTHI launches their new drama
  production with great fanfare in the presence of a huge audience.Competitions between
  different branches of SMPAi ( Siliguri Vs Kolkata, Kolkata Vs Durgapur, Durgapur Vs
  Siliguri ) Awards and many more laurels are rewarded to the students.
• The month of December marks a challenge for aspiring models. "BENGAL'S NEXT
  SUPERMODEL" will be one of the most sorted out modeling events of eastern
  India.SMPAi promises to give a huge platform to wanna be models through this contest.
  Candidates from all over west Bengal & neighbouring states can participate in this model
  contest.This contest starts of with regional prelims to zonal finals and graduates to the
  grand finale in the month of December.

This is how SMPAi promises to promote, engage,enhance & collaborate with their
students so that even if they are waiting patiently for their big break they have a
handful of things to do,perform & practice on.
